A. OUR PHILOSOPHY AND APPROACH TO EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Footprints Academy, home of the "Footprints Approach, "ensures the development of its students through a dedicated and highly skilled staff implementing a curriculum in close collaboration with parents and supported by a caring community. We prepare our students to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. Our program is customized to your child's progress, needs, and age to include establishing goals to prepare tomorrow's future for social and academic success.

The Footprints Approach aims to provide a foundational Christian education for the community we service, coupled with traditional learning objectives. Every aspect of the Footprints Approach incorporates bible-focused objectives and themes from our greatest teacher, our Creator. 

Footprints Academy strives to be a beacon in the surrounding communities, by upholding high regard towards spiritual, welfare, and educational matters. To that extent, Footprints Academy provides educational opportunities for children ages twenty-four months through five years of age. The biblical basis for Footprints Academy can be found in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

At Footprints Academy, we are committed to developing the talents of each child and preparing them to integrate his/her faith and academic training for the future. Footprints Academy supports parents as the primary educators of their children, providing an atmosphere enriched with family values and academic excellence.

We are licensed through the South Carolina Department of Social Services and the Enhanced ABC Childcare Provider. The National Association for the Education of Young Children suggests you look for these ten signs to ensure that children are in a good classroom. It is further believed that parental involvement is imperative if young children are to succeed. 

B. VISION

Footprints Academy, with the support of the parents, will aid the achievement of his/her maximum potential and ultimate success in school. Footprints Academy seeks to motivate, encourage, and teach young children the skills essential for smooth admission into other educational institutions to further their education aspirations. Physical, emotional, and spiritual growth is emphasized daily. It is further believed that parental involvement is imperative if young children are to succeed.

C. MISSION

Footprints Academy feels that education is the mission of its community; therefore, provisions are made in the academy to provide training for children between the ages of twenty-four months and five years of age. Footprints Academy operates the institution requiring a nominal cost for daycare and educational services to young children. The academy seeks to motivate, encourage, and teach young children the skills essential for a smooth entrance into the public or private school system.
